The food was great hot and fresh.The waitress was very attentive. We will go back.

The staff was nice and were quick on refills or other items asked for, the food was good too with a large menu selection that included burgers and sandwiches along with seafood items.

Alec's is a predictably great place to eat. They also have a good selection of beer on tap. On Fridays, don't miss the jalapeno corn chowder. It is so good!

I was very impress with the service and food. Great menu and staff. I had the Salmon Pesto Fettuccine which was 👌 awesome. Thanks Alex's by the sea and staff. Keep up the good work.

New homeowners in Ocean Shores. Were looking forward to eating at Alec's all week. Wanted to avoid crowds and Covid so called to place a to-go order. Was told they were too busy for a to-go order but would call back within 30 minutes. They did call back...an hour and a half later (just before closing, conveniently). We had already gone somewhere else. Will we give them another chance? Maybe, but not happy about it :)

Friendly atmosphere, decent prices, and amazing food! Close to beach and retail shops. A must dine experience.

Best clam chowder ever! We arrived hungry and left happy and satisfied. Food was amazing. Good location and easy to find. Service was top notch. We will be back to try out more food items. Enjoy this place! A must.

First time there food was great prices reasonable.

We were immediately greeted by a very friendly hostess. She asked our preference and seated us according. The server was also very nice and efficient. Razor clams were a little greasy but the aroma alone was enough to make up for that, and the flavor was through the roof. Mushroom rice pilaf was also great. Veggies were cooked from frozen, I believe. A little hard for me to get into because we grow our own veggies. All in all, we had a very nice lunch! Place was clean and everybody we saw (customers as well as employees) seemed to be happy.

Nice gluten free menu and good quality ingredients. An ok selection of seafood, it is not a seafood restaurant, they have other things. Very mom and pop diner style down to the iceberg lettuce. A bit expensive for what you get- I paid over 20 for a meal I would expect to be more like 15. Over 7 for a glass of 14 Hands white.

Stopped in for supper. Alec's serves good quality standard comfort food. Filling and well made, you won't be disappointed. On our visit we had the fried zucchini as a starter to share which had a lovely flavour however could have done with being drained for a bit longer before being served as being put on a plate whilst hot caused a bit of grease to settle on the bottom pieces.For mains we had chicken strips and fries, pork chop with veggies, chicken fettuccini and a French dip sandwich. All the dishes were well presented and very tasty. However fettuccini was on the garlicky side, which we loved, but someone who is not as keen may not like it as much. Portions are big so bring your appetite but be sure to leave room for the home made desserts!

Nice family type of restaurant. Good food at reasonable prices. Waitresses were friendly, upbeat and really hustled to keep up their busy pace.

Great restaurant! I love it. Amazing for the family and amazing food! 🤩 I thought the quality of the food was great, but I ordered Fish and chips with fries and they told me it is the same size that is on the kids menu, but when the food came, it seemed really small to be the same size as an adult serving. That disappointed me a little bit, but overall, I really enjoy eating here😍

Very clean well run Restaurant. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, my wife and I ordered the fried Zucchini it was awesome more than enough for 2 , it will be a late night snack. We ordered fish and chips Halibut and Cod it was well cooked and fresh. Our only regret no room for dessert. We will definitely be back again. The prices are so reasonable it’s nice to get good value tasty food and great service. The owner came by our table and introduced himself very kind gentleman. By the way you will not leave hungry!

At Alex's everyone was so friendly. The food was great! Almost too much, but boxes were provided should you not be able finish your meal. Plenty of coffee. Everyone abiding be the rules. Spick an span.

Classic ocean shores staple restaurant. The food is always.good and staff friendly. A little overpriced for what it is.

Stopped here when we made an impromptu trip to Ocean Shores with some of the wife's family. We ate here because it was one of the only restaurants that offered something that my picky eating child would eat, and we didn't want to drive on without eating first.The good part was the portions; there was plenty of food on our plates. We had Fish & Chips, A club sandwich and a Turkey sandwich (can't remember the exact name). The Fish & Chips and the home made potato chips were both good. The biggest downside to the meal, and one that left a lasting impression, was overdone toast. Mine was slightly overdone with made some bites of the sandwich difficult, but it was edible. My wifes toast was burnt to the point where it actually cut the roof of her mouth, and not just a little. A week later she still had cuts on the top of her mouth.It's a shame that the toast was burnt, because otherwise, the meal was good.

waitress was not attentive, had to ask for things- like more coffee. She would ask how the food was while running by. We hope she was just busy. Not one smile towards us. The food was very good though.. we will go back when we are over that way again.

I gave this place 5 stars because of the halibut n chips and the atmosphere was very nice. I'm very picky w fish n chips. I hate thick breaded or greasy fish. This halibut were good size w a light and crispy thin coating, not heavily breaded. It was meaty w thin crispy coating. 2 pc was $14.99, 3 pc was 17.99. This was the best halibut n chips I've had in years. More fish and less bread too. Excellent quality. Tarter was pretty good too. Didnt come w coleslaw so I didnt get a chance to try it. The place was clean and bright, very relaxing. The waitress was not bad, pretty Decent. I've had Bennett's fish n chips and wasnt impressed. Caked on coating w less fish. I liked the atmosphere better at alecs by the sea. It had a nice vibe. I didnt think bennets was that great. Alecs is better. I highly recommend it.

The fish and chips were yummmmm, with lots of French fries. Then we shared half rack of bar b q ribs...lovely all the way around smell, taste, visual!!!

We visited Alec's on our first night in Ocean Shores. We weren't sure what to expect, because we hadn't traveled anywhere since Covid started. Alec's was extremely well prepared with disinfecting cards and card readers, in addition to providing very speedy takeout service. The customer service experience I had while ordering over the phone was also A+++. I cannot stress enough how valuable it is to have people who take phone orders to be friendly, patient, and just a joy to talk to. I was left with a very positive impression.Our food was also amazing! That's what earns the rest of the 5 stars for my vote. Everything was hot and well prepared. My husband ordered a burger with lots of toppings, and anything with moisture was contained separately so he could assemble it at home-- so thoughtful and helpful. Try the homemade potato chips, they were really great. If you get a chance, their fry sauce is also sublime.

Nice place with great selection of food. Everybody loved the food. I ordered their award winning sea food dish and it tasted nice. Was expecting slightly more from that dish as it was marked as award winning.Anyways, we all had a nice time there.

Our party of six found the food here decent. Some had the fish and chips (the fries looked nice an thick) one had the fish sandwich. I had the shrimp Louie salad and two people had something called a chicken bowl that was a bed of mashed potatoes, chicken strips, corn and smothered in gravy. Everyone liked what they had. My salad was good. I like the amount of shrimp on my salad (about 4 oz) and I liked that it came with bread on the side. There was nothing over the top amazing, but good standard fare in a town with not a ton of choices. We would return here.

Was in Ocean Shores for the weekend, asked someone for a place that we could dine inside and he suggested this place. Greeted right off, taken to our seats, had service within a few minutes. Very friendly, clean establishment, prices decent, soda price Not so much, prompt food. Service was awesome, although she was running in circles, very attentive to all her customers. Had a hamburger with sea salt fries, delicious! Son had a French dip and ate every bite (which is huge! Cause normally he only eats half). Ever in Ocean Shores and looking for a variety menu..... Here's your spot.

I ordered the Soup and Salad option, with chicken for the salad. It was ok, their clam chowder was really good tho. Get the bread bowl clam chowder, my sister loved it.

My mom and I went here for dinner last night. The food was great for the most part, but I’ll make sure not to order the rice anymore, since I don’t like mushrooms. Overall, they exceeded my expectations with the food. Only complaint is waiting to get in and sit down takes at least a couple to a few minutes before being acknowledged. Overall, recommended if you stay in Ocean Shores.

Perfect portion, fresh food. Super friendly service.Hubs got Sr fish&chips. 2 fish was plenty for him. I got their special PorkChop dinner with Apple sauce and brown gravy. It was delish. They were very kind to accommodate my request for baked potato. And their daily veggies were cooked perfectly (not mushy). I was super satisfied! And reasonably priced. Thank you Alec’s By the Sea. I will go back for sure!

The clam strips were amazing! Great portion size and the curbside service was awesome. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

There was nobody at the reception desk. My wife went to the bathroom and I went to the lounge. When my wife met me there was still nobody at the front desk. We spent about 10 minutes waiting for service when a blonde haired young girl came over to us and basically scolded us for not waiting to be seated and she said we were ignored because of that. We left. I wouldn't want here making my business decisions.

SO NICE to be able to eat a sit-down meal in a beautiful restaurant with cheerful staff and OUTSTANDING food...Husband had their signature Seafood Saute, said it was DELICIOUS...I had the grilled pork chop special and it was HEAVENLY...Chocolate mousse for dessert was SUPERB...5-STAR RESTAURANT, 5-STAR SERVICE & FOOD...

Absolutely the best Onion rings and food we've had in a long time! Super friendly staff. Our new favorite place to come for burgers and fries in ocean shores!

My sister In law suggested we eat here because she said the food is fantastic. Our lunch was very good. It was a bit expensive, but when the food is really good I don't mind spending a bit extra.

Great place to eat in Ocean Shores for a good price. They have all kinds of American food but the “Seafood Sauté” was phenomenal!

Standard Ocean Shores restaurant. Tasteless and overpriced. Ordered their award winning seafood pasta and were disappointed. Girlfriend actually had to take a break to vomit in the bathroom before we left. Do not get the oysters, trust me. Kids food was the same. Tons of staff wandering around but our server seemed to be the only one working. If we ever go back to Ocean Shores (not likely) we will opt for mcdonalds.

They took some time to bring our food but it was worth it
